Current Rule: 4.4 - At the start of each game throughout the entire season (including the playoffs) each roster must include 55 players including the following minimum number of players at the following positions: LS (long-snapper)
Proposed Change: Eliminate the requirement for a long-snapper. beginning with the 2023 season.
Justification: Every season at least a couple of teams fail to draft a LS. Eliminating this roster requirement allows teams to use an unrated player at the long-snapper position knowing the the the team will be more susceptible to poor snaps and therefore more blocked/bad punts and blocked/missed field goals. The only downside I see to approving this is someone could argue this allows a team to purposely lose games but I do not think this change does that.
