Salem moves the ball, but Geno Atkins with a huge sack moves them out of FG range. With 3rd and forever, Salem runs with Lewis and he picks up 14, moving them back in FG range. 50 yard field goal is good. 6-0 Salem, 7:52 left in the 2nd.
Well now....that fake punt didn't work as planned. Hekker loses 12 (there was a holding penalty declined so it wasn't going to achieve the desired result anyway). Storm needs to hold on defense here in a big way.
SWF takes over and converts a 4th and 1 in their own territory. They move the ball but are out of FG range. With no timeouts, they complete a pass but can't get out of bounds. Time runs out.
13-0 Salem at the half. SWF will get the ball to start the 2nd.
The Storm's offense finally moves the ball but can't spike it to get a field goal off before the gun sounds the the first half ends. Southwest Florida trails 13-0 going into the half and looks absolutely dreadful on offense.
